ABOUT OZZY

Ozzy is our new up and coming male. He holds a special place in our future plans at Nordic Dreams.

He is the result of a breeding between Moro Shepherds and  Wildwood White Swiss Shepherds, two kennels and pedigrees that we admire and have wanted to incorporate into our program for a very long time! 

Ozzy’s dam, Moro’s Renata De Blanc ‘Renata’, is a beautiful female that I had the opportunity to meet in person at a dog show. Renata is a very sweet girl, and we were immediately drawn to her beautiful substance while still maintaining a feminine appearance. Renata has earned multiple show titles after being shown in Europe. She is also a half-sister to Appa, the sire of our C litter, and is out of Natus, who I have had the pleasure of meeting and absolutely adored for his stability and the consistency he has produced in his progeny.

Ozzy’s sire, Tordensson Des Loups De Normandie ‘Magni’ is owned by Wildwood White Swiss Shepherds, who has been a wonderful mentor and friend to us for many years. We were drawn to Magni for his dark pigment, his beautiful thick white coat, and easygoing temperament. Magni holds his IABCA NAT/INT/HNR Puppy CH title and has impressive health testing. He also brings in French lines that we have admired for a long time.

We are also very fortunate to have a close friendship with Nathalie, owner of Loups De Normandie in France. We are incredibly grateful to finally incorporate more French lines into our breeding program. This pedigree is especially meaningful to us because Magni was also the sire of our B litter, and Renata is a half-sister to Appa, the sire of our C litter.

Ozzy will hopefully contribute substance, dark pigment, and a correct front to our program, which we feel will complement our current females beautifully. He will also continues our goal of producing dogs with exceptional health testing, correct structure, and stable showline temperaments.

We have high hopes for Ozzy in the show ring and we will work towards his championship title as he matures. We would also love to try dock diving if he enjoys it, especially since his dam Renata has a love for the sport!

His call name, Ozzy, was inspired by Ozzy Osbourne. His unrelated White Shepherd brother is named Zeppelin after Led Zeppelin. We thought the two made the perfect rock & roll duo!

Lastly, a huge thank you to Moro Shepherds for letting Ozzy join our extended family, and we can’t wait to share more about him, and his temperament as he matures!
